Family Owned & Operated

A PLUS ROD AND KUSTOM is a family owned and operated business. The owners, Gerald "Jerry" Camp, his wife Tina Camp and son Andy Camp purchased the business in May 2007 from the company's founder, Bill Wilder, who started it in 1996 out of his home. He later opened a store front and added a Freightliner and trailer that is driven around the mid-west to attend car events and sell the multitude of parts and accessories that A Plus has to offer.

In the first seven months after the Camp's purchase in 2007, the business grew from #16 in Vintage Air sales to #11 in the nation.

Jerry Camp

Jerry Camp grew up working with his father in a family owned auto shop, specializing in front end alignments with old school technology, doing everything from straight axles to the newest independent suspensions of the time. This led Jerry at a young age to appreciate and love the older car styling. When he was 14 years old he started working on a 1932 Chevrolet streetrod of his own. Still to this day he has a 1946 Ford Tudor sedan that he drives regularly, putting more miles on it in most years than he does on his late model vehicle.

Jerry has been a member of E'ville Iron, sponsor of the Frog Follies. from 2000 to 2008 during which time he was the Rod Run Chairman for four years, being responsbile for the organization of the entire event.

Tina Camp

Tina Camp is the bookkeeper for the business, having a background in legal secretarial and medical receptionist. She and Jerry started dating in high school and got married in 1984. She, too, has attended the many street rod events with Jerry and Andy.

Andy Camp

Andy Camp grew up in the backseat of his dad's 1946 Ford Tudor sedan, going to car events all around the mid-west, and developing a love of the hobby and old cars in the process. He was usually seen driving his remote control cars at the shows. Street Rodders all around the mid-west know Andy from seeing him at the many shows and cruise-ins when he was growing up. Now in his early 20's, he is the sales manager for A Plus and an NSRA Inspector.
